Child & Adult ADHD and Autism Assessment
What to Expect
Pre-Assesment
We will contact you to learn more about you or your child. We will ask about current presentation and duration as well as academic and occupational history. We gain an understanding of the developmental history as well as collateral history. With the appropriate consent we will also request the GP summary care record
QB Check
A Qb Check is a computerised objective assessment of hyperactivity, inattention and impulsivity. We will send you a voucher code prior to the assessment date with ourselves. This test can be done on most laptops or desktop computers
Assessment
Your ADHD, Autism & Cognitive assessment will be completed on separate days (three appointments). The ADHD assessment will be completed by our experienced Psychiatrists. Your Cognitive (WAIS/WISC) and Autism assessment (ADOS) will be completed by our Clinical Psychologist in conjunction with our Psychiatrists. We will complete a thorough assessment and we will also screen for all mental health disorders.
Report
Within 2 weeks of your assessment you will recieve a draft ADHD, Autism and Comprehensive Cognitive report, which you will be able to review before we share this with your GP. You will be able to discuss your report with your psychiatrist in the fourth appointment. The report will contain your psychological formulation as well as diagnosis (as applicable) and treatment recommendations and details of any prescriptions provided
First Follow Up
The assessment cost includes the first follow up with your Psychiatrist at no extra charge (fifth appointment in total) as well as any prescriptions that are needed. This allows you time to ask questions and discuss treatment options in detail
Further Follow Up
We are able to provide further follow up to existing customers at a low cost of £150 per follow up (including prescriptions as indicated). We will work with you to establish shared care with your GP
