Child ADHD Assessment
What to Expect
Pre-Assesment
We will contact you to learn more about your child, their current symptoms and duration. We will ask you about your child's developmental history as well as gaining collateral history. With the appropriate consent we will also request your child's GP summary care record
Qb Check
A Qb Check is a computerised objective assessment of hyperactivity, inattention and impulsivity. We will send you a voucher code prior to the assessment date with ourselves. This test can be done on most laptops or desktop computers
Assessment
Your child's ADHD assessment will be completed by one of our experienced psychiatrists, we will complete a thorough assessment and we will also screen for all mental health disorders as well as autism. We know each child is an individual and we take a tailored approach
Report
We aim to provide your report within seven working days of your assessment. In some circumstances this may take slightly longer. If you require the report urgently, please let us know and we will do our best to prioritise and complete it as soon as possible.
Once completed, you will receive the report to review before it is shared with your GP. The report will include your psychological formulation, any diagnosis where applicable, and treatment recommendations.
We are also able to provide work or academic adjustment letters if required.
Treatment Plan
The assessment cost includes agreeing where appropriate a treatment plan. We are able to issue prescriptions as needed and have a network of other practitioners and therapists that we are able to recommend. You will not need to worry about where to turn
Further Follow Up
We are able to provide further follow up to at a low cost of £150 per follow up (including prescriptions as indicated). We will work with you to establish shared care with your GP. We also have an optional value payment option of 6 months care for £600 available if you require ADHD medications
