General Psychiatry Assessment
Information Gathering
We will contact you to learn more about yourself and your current difficulties. With your consent we will request a GP summary care record from your GP
Pre-Assessment
We will send you a pre-assessment form to complete and all of the available information will be reviewed by our clinical team prior to the assessment
Assessment
Your general psychiatry review will be completed by one of our experienced psychiatrists, we will complete a thorough assessment, looking at all mental health disorders and will also screen for neurodevelopmental disorders. We build a shared psychological formulation, come to a diagnosis as appropriate and suggest a treatment plan including prescription as indicated
Report
We aim to provide your report within seven working days of your assessment. In some circumstances this may take slightly longer. If you require the report urgently, please let us know and we will do our best to prioritise and complete it as soon as possible.
Once completed, you will receive the report to review before it is shared with your GP. The report will include your psychological formulation, any diagnosis where applicable, and treatment recommendations.
We are also able to provide work or academic adjustment letters if required.
Treatment Plan
The assessment cost includes agreeing where appropriate a treatment plan. We are able to issue prescriptions as needed and have a network of other practitioners and therapists that we are able to recommend. You will not need to worry about where to turn
Follow Up
We are able to provide ongoing follow up at a low cost of £150 per appointment (Including prescriptions). We will continue to work with you and work towards establishing shared care with your GP
